Jordan Schweller is the son of a refugee and a first-generation American. He has been practicing immigration and criminal defense in San Diego, CA, since 2006. Mr. Schweller, being the son of a refugee, has a unique understanding and perspective of both the immigration laws of the United States of America and their direct influence on close family and friends.

 

Mr. Schweller has made it his goal in life to help others in need, much like his mother who was forced to flee a war-torn nation at the age of seven. As a direct result of being raised by a refugee, Mr. Schweller has a unique and personal understanding of just how important a caring, knowledgeable, and understanding attorney can benefit those in need of assistance.

 

Mr. Schweller graduated high-school, with honors, in 1996, then immediately pursued and obtained a communications degree from the esteemed University of Rhode Island. After graduation, Mr. Schweller embarked alone on a one year voyage that spanned the entire globe.  The purpose of this pilgrimage was to gain a first-hand understanding of life as an immigrant. Travelling the world, and being seen as an outsider, has given Mr. Schweller a unique understanding of his profession that few can comprehend.

 

Immediately upon return from his voyage, Mr. Schweller attended Law School at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, located in San Diego. After graduating in 2006, Mr. Schweller immediately passed the California State Bar Examination and began his career as an immigration Attorney, using his worldly and scholarly education to assist his clients from all over the world.
